Summarized Review Highlights

Based on available reviews, Walleye Lake Outposts has earned an outstanding reputation among anglers, with guests describing it as a world-class freshwater fishery and one of the best-value fly-in outfitters in its region. The single review available reflects a long-standing loyalty, with one group returning annually for over 15 consecutive years — a strong indicator of consistent guest satisfaction.

Guests praise the exceptional fishing for walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass. Walleye catches of 50 or more fish per day are reported, with some reaching 8–9 pounds, and northern pike are described as equally abundant. Smallmouth bass, while harder to target, are noted as large and hard-fighting. The facilities and equipment receive positive mentions, and the exclusive-use model — having a lake entirely to your group — is highlighted as a major draw. The value relative to other outfitters in the area is specifically called out as a strength.

With only one review to draw from, it is not possible to identify recurring complaints or concerns, nor to say definitively that none exist. What can be said is that this destination appears best suited for experienced anglers focused on high-volume catch-and-release fishing, particularly those targeting trophy walleye and northern pike. Groups of friends or fishing buddies who value privacy and exclusivity on their water would likely find this setup appealing. Those seeking a more curated or guided experience should confirm what services are included before booking.

World class walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass fishery. An experienced fisherman can easily catch & release upwards of 50 walleye or more per day (some reaching 8-9 pounds) and similar numbers of northern pike as well. The smallmouth are harder to target but are large and ferocious fighters in the 4-5 pound range. Great facilities and equipment. Have a lake completely to yourself and friends. In 2010, I was able to catch and release 25 northern pike in 25 consecutive casts. It was captured on video from the dock at Two Loon Lodge Cabin. Our group has been making an annual fishing trip to Walleye Lake for over 15 consecutive years & have found this to be the best value by far of any outfitters in this area.
