Went to Dusey a week before walleye opener for brookies
Went to Dusey a week before walleye opener few years back, went for brookies with my brother. We fished them hard only got 6 for the week, caught a bunch of big northerns, and our last day of fishing was walleye opener so we brought our walleyes home. The lake itself is only 8 ft at the most everywhere. Awesome river coming in and going out. Cabin was rustic back then, shower was in gas house. Not my type of lake but we had a good time. Brad Slagel the owner is a super nice guy, he felt bad we didn't do well on brookies so he offered us both a $100 week fly-in at his Marshall lake. My brother and nephew went back a week later, I couldn't make it, they did well for walleye at Marshall lake.

Fly-in hunting at Dusey Lake – memorable experience
Hello Helen and Brad, here are some photos of our trip to Dusey Lake. We had the wrong tag...LOL. I called in 2 bulls, one was huge and the other was a fork bull, He came within 20 yards. Bart and Anthony saw a different small bull and had another one smashing trees and branches. The fly in hunting was a new and memorable experience for me! The last photo is a lynx that swam across the lake at the same place the fork bull crossed. Very nice cabin, it was well equipped and the boats and motors were reliable and comfortable. Thanks and All the best! Rudy
