Award-winning, 5-star, full-service fly-in fishing lodge on Aikens Lake within Atikaki Provincial Park, Manitoba. Operating since 1949. The Main Lodge offers multiple cabin styles including Master Angler's Row (four renovated 2-person suites with white pine interior, private bath and 5' tiled shower, screened porch, thermostat-controlled heat/AC) and Park Place (two adjoining cabins – Majestic Moose and Woodland Caribou – sleeping up to 5, lake views, vaulted ceilings, bar fridge, coffee maker, AC). Another great trip!
This was my 5th visit to Aikens and it continues to get better and better. Great fishing, clean and comfortable accommodations and wonderful amenities. Food is excellent and Molly's Bar is good evening entertainment.

Went in with high expectations, they blew them out of the water!
What a trip! Was fortunate enough to spend several nights at the lodge with my brother and father. Definitely a fantastic memory maker. The staff are as amazing as the location. And the location! The scenery is beautiful and the fishing bountiful. Our guide knew the lake like the back of his hand and definitely kept us where the fish were. The food was fantastic and the accomodations top knotch. Hard to believe the location is only accessible by air. Can't wait to get back there some day.

Amazing Manitoba Fishing Resort!!
cannot stress enough what a special resort this is for any fishing enthusiast! Every detail is thought through to enhance the experience of the Aikens Lake guests. Pit, Pat and the team make everyone feel incredibly welcome. The warmth of the leadership is reflected by the entire staff. The fishing was incredible and the guides are top-notch. The food in the dining hall was fantastic and the shore lunches were memorable. This year was my second trip and it definitely will not be my last! Thank-you to the entire Aikens Lake team for the world class experience!!

Amazing weekend fishing trip !!
Just got back from another amazing weekend trip to Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge. We had awesome fishing as our guide Tyson consistently put us on the big fish. Many large walleye in the 23 - 26" range were caught. The shore lunches were fantastic and we appreciated Tyson's effort in preparing the walleye in a variety of ways. Fish tacos, pan seared Cajun, Parmesan Italian herb and his proprietary beer batter recipe. After fishing we enjoyed a complimentary happy hour at Big Molly's before dinner. The meals were top notch - filet mignon with garlic mashed, slow brazed beef ribs with smoked Gouda Mac n cheese. Chef Colin keeps you well nourished with his amazing meals. First class accommodations and excellent service from all staff. Enjoying the "Aikens Experience" was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. We can't wait to go back!!!

Don't pass up on an Aikens Lake Adventure! You'll regret it if you do….
What a weekend with my 2 sons! A fly in fishing excursion has been a topic of discussion for several years and this one was certainly worth waiting for. It was 3 perfect days of weather, fishing and food! Not forgetting the super dining room staff and our guide Kurt, fish finder and shore lunch chef extraordinaire! Beer batter onion rings were world class! The lodge, associated buildings and all the amenities are exceptional, considering that everything not manufactured on site had to be flown in. A beautiful location on the shore of the lake! Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I lucked into 4 large walleye on the last day totalling 100" to put me into the Century Club. To Pit and all your staff, thanks for a extraordinary weekend that gave my sons and I a memory of a lifetime.

Second to none
I had an amazing experience at Aikens Lake June 17-20 2025. It was my second time visiting the lodge and just like the first time the trip was exceptional. Fishing was great. Our guide Eric took great care in making sure our time on the lake was memorable. The lodge was second to none. The meals were fantastic. I believe that as amazing as it all was what really puts it over the top is the people there. All the management and staff made us feel so welcomed, their hospitality and professionalism is second to none.

Another Year At Aiken's, Another Great Trip!
This will be my fifth year at Aiken's Lake. Five years ago I started going up there and rotating my son and daughter every other year. I made a change last year to take my two grand daughters for their graduation present. Both parents eagerly decided to join the trip. It was a nice family adventure. So, what can I say about Aiken's Lake Wilderness Lodge that I have not already said in previous reviews? I repeatedly have mentioned the great fishing, food, wilderness setting and accommodations. So, let's talk about the people. The people at Aiken's Lake are good people. They take pride in their business and it shows every day. Pit and staff meet you with a smile on their face and work hard to put one on yours during your stay. Five years into our relationship with Aiken's Lake, myself, son and daughter feel more like friends with Pit and our guides than clients. That should just about say it all.

Just ended our 9th trip To Aikens
When you find a place that is Excellant why would you go anywhere else. My wife and I have now been to Aikens nine times! There has never been that discussion saying I would do this if I owned this place! We have yet to find anything we could improve on! This trip the food was once again unbelievable! Truly super! A young chef just out of school so concern about his food and its presentation, such a joy to see that desire to please! A very tough job to feed all of those at the resort, including staff, but they all commented the same thing, the person can cook! Aikens from the ownership to the dock hand to wait staff to guides are fantastic! If you want to take a fishing trip to a fly in resort in Canada, look no further.

Manitoba fishing extravaganza
just got back from an amazing weekend at Aiken's, we caught 5 different species of fish including a monster lake trout! The staff are all extremely friendly and are all there to greet you when you land. The flight is short and you're on the lake in no time. We were treated to some delicious shore lunches of fresh caught walleye. the guides really go above and beyond to make your experience first class. I have been to many fly in fishing camps in Manitoba and Aiken's is by far my favorite. Mike C.

Great trip all around!
Great trip all around! Fishing was great, lake & surroundings were beautiful, accommodations were nice and clean, staff was friendly. We loved the shore lunches the guides prepared for us, where we ate our freshly caught fish. The dinners at the lodge were also really good. Some unique experiences: hanging at Molly's bar (at the lodge) to play shuffle board and pool. Building a fire each night on the beach right outside our cabin, the perfect spot to watch some incredible sunsets over the lake and have fellowship with each other.

Bucket List ACHIEVEMENT!
I'm not a hard-core fisherman but my dear friend was. He had going to a remote location to fish on his Bucket List as his 70th birthday approached. With a recent health scare I realized I may need to do something "sooner than later" I contacted Aikens Lake and told Pit the situation. Not only did they bend over backwards to get us a spot quickly, they made sure my friend had every comfort and convenience (including his favorite chocolate milk)...seriously...they flew in Chocolate Milk. Who does that? Aikens. Every single person made sure they made him feel special...including the birthday cake they made him on his 70th. My point with all this...Aiken's Lake is a special place (location, lake, etc) but the PEOPLE at Aiken's Lake make it extraordinary. My friend caught tons of fish, had time to recharge, and came back ready for the fight ahead. My advice...don't "wait"...there will never be the perfect time and you have no idea how much time you or your loved ones have left. Plan, GO, Make this Happen!

Amazing Three Generation Fishing Trip!
We visited Aikens Lake Resort for the second time this August 2024. We came back because of the awesome time we had the first time and this second time didn't disappoint. We brought three generations of men in the family on the trip, with Grandpa demonstrating to the kids and grandkids his ability to still catch lots of Fish. The Aikens team are great hosts. The cabins are spacious and clean. Service is outstanding, starting with coffee brought to your cabin every morning to get the blood flowing and ready for a great day on the lake. Happy Hour after coming of the lake was always a treat as we played shuffle board, pool and cards before dinner. The chef made delicious three course meals for dinner and breakfast was always a choose your own adventure treat. The guides are extremely knowledgeable of the lake and very customer service oriented, addressing whatever wants you have (whether type of fishing you want to do to how you want shore lunch prepared). Our guides, Boots and Ferg, were courteous and entertaining every day. Everyone caught lots of Walleye, many over 22" and we caught our share of Pike. The lodge is remote so you can escape life, but does have WiFi if you are so inclined. We'd highly recommend Aikens if you want remoteness, LOTS of fish and to be spoiled.

The Aikens Experience is real!
If you're looking for an awesome place to fish, eat great food, and be treated with old school customer service, Aikens Lake is the place. My kids and I have been to Aikens three times. The staff is over-the-top friendly, the food is top notch, cabins are big, clean and comfortable, and the shore lunches are some of our best memories. Pit and his team have come together to form an amazing experience!!

Our second time to the lodge was even better than the first. The guides are second to none accommodations are great. You could never ask for a better easier trip. My eight-year-old son was very scared about going on the last day he was in tears because he didn't wanna leave. This place you don't have to think about it they make it so easy and perfect. Just enjoy yourself and go.

Five days of great fishing, food and fun: Aikens Lake Lodge
Great fishing, food and amenities: we just had 5 days of fun at Aikens Lake Lodge! The best thing about Aikens, though, was the service! You'll hear a lot about the "Aikens Experience" while you're there, and that means that everyone at Aikens works really hard to make sure you have everything you need for a great trip! We were totally impressed with the attitude and the attention that we received. A bonus for us is that we're "birders," so while we were there, we saw Bald Eagles, a Golden Eagle, Ospreys, Loons, lots of Mergansers (including a female with chicks cruising along) and various Gulls. What was really special was watching a male and female Northern Flicker feeding their chicks in a hollow tree by one of our shore lunch sites! One final thought: this was not our first Canadian fly-in trip, and all the outfitters promise a great shore lunch. None that we've experienced can compare to Aikens! Our guide, Boots, prepared five different, fantastic walleye lunches, and they were all incredible, one of the highlights of our trip! We Love The Aikens Lake Experience!
This was my fourth year at Aikens Lake. I started rotating my adult son and daughter every other year with a first class fly-in fishing trip with "The Dad". This year would be different because of my son's daughter and my daughter's daughter both graduating from high school. They both learned how to fish with me and both enjoy fishing, so easy graduation present! If the parents wanted to come, they would have to take care of that, which they enthusiastically agreed to! As always, Aikens Lake did not disappoint. Pit, Julie, Patrick, and Janelle are always accommodating, helpful, and fun to be around. The guides are knowledgeable, personable, and great shore lunch cooks! Just don't play cribbage against Paul. I think he's on the Canadian Olympic Cribbage Team! The fishing is always good to excellent so you won't go hungry at shore lunch time. The food is first class with delicious varied options. Big Molly's Bar is welcoming and a great place to recap the day and make new friends. Accommodations are up north cozy and clean. Wait staff are always courteous and personable. Aikens offers numerous packages to fit a budget and discounts return clients! So, what's not to like? If you haven't been to Aikens Lake yet, come join us! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We are already planning next year's trip.

Excellent experience!
Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge provided a fantastic, one-of-kind experience. The amenities and hospitality are second to none. We found the fishing guides to be knowledgeable and patient with kids and less experienced anglers, and also excellent at guiding more experienced anglers. The overall environment and scenery are wonderful. We can't wait to return again next year!

10/10 recommend! From the minute you step off the plane you feel right at home. The Aikens crew goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great trip. The fish is just a bonus compared to the experience you receive at Aikens! You can tell how much they care for their team and how much the team loves working there. The food is amazing. Life-changing experience for our girls
We travelled as a group of 12 to Aikens Lake, July of 2020. There was a mixed bag of ages and interests in our family's group, in fact, my 16 year old daughter was not shy to declare to us..."Fine. I will go. But under no circumstances will I fish or even EAT fish." Within half a day at Aikens, with the urging of the staff and the guides, she got in the boat and allowed a rod to be put in her hands. She very quickly discovered the joys of fishing: the shared fellowship of your fishing mates, the joy of having a top notch guide, the fresh air and pristine water, the thrill of the catch, and of course, the beautifully prepared shore lunch after a morning of fishing. This turnaround for my daughter was profound and a life lesson I hope she never forgets: be open to new people and experiences. You never know who or what will take hold. I have heard many people speak highly of Aikens Lake lodge but this was my first chance to experience it. This place is run so smoothly: with the million details taken care of for each guests' visit, this is no small feat. Of course, as you would expect from a lodge of this calibre, all the big things are well taken care of: the lodging, the food, the social atmosphere, the incredibly endearing staff and guides, all of the small details are also taken care of which makes you feel like your safety, comfort and satisfaction are of the utmost priority. The Aikens Experience!
I have been visiting Aikens Lake Wilderness lodge for 9 years, and every year seems to be a little bit better than the last. I have built life lasting friendships with many people at the lodge, and continue to build friendships with new staff members each year. The level of service that I receive at Aikens is unmatched anywhere else. The cabins are top notch, the gear and equipment is meticulously maintained, and the food is world class. My time at the lodge is a major highlight of my summer each year!

We had a Blast!!!
A huge thumbs up to all the staff up at Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge for making our trip absolutely amazing! We stayed in a two bedroom cabin - fabulous accommodations - food was excellent and they were able to cater to my dietary needs - shore lunches were scrumptious - our guides for the group were super knowledgeable and put us all on the fish for our whole trip! To top it all off our last night was an absolute blast - it was like being at a family reunion! Thanks again to everyone for making our stay so memorable! Can't wait to go back!

Trip of a lifetime
As we got off the dock, we were treated as family. All the young women and men met us with smiles on their faces. I knew immediately we were in for a trip of a lifetime. Pit and Julie sure know how to manage a fishing lodge with the most knowledgeable guides and staff. The food was as good as any five star restaurant. Coffee was delivered each morning to your room, and all meals were served promptly and deliciously. The daily shore lunch was a ritual to behold. The facility is continually being immaculately kept. Eric was the best fishing guide imaginable. Everyone was very energetic and willing to please. I am happy that my wife was able to catch two species which went into the Manitoba record book. Every year there are always improvements made, which is hard to believe since it's already an AMAZING place! The staff is like family. The food is always great. 100% recommend Aiken's lake. The staff at Aiken's has became family to us and they treat every guest the same as they do to us. Every night getting off the boat all of the guides are congratulating you on any big fish caught or asking how the day went.

A fishing lodge for everyone
My husband is an avid angler who had been to Aiken's before. Now that he has discovered fishing lodges with meals provided and comfortable accommodation, I agreed to join him. The lake is compact enough and the boats powerful enough that it was easy to drop me off in the afternoon and then my husband and our guide could resume fishing. There are lots of places to fish on the lake & even when the lodge is busy you are seldom fishing close to other guests. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming (down on the dock when you arrive). The food was very good and our accommodations had been recently renovated to accommodate either couples or guys only. The evening award presentation is a fun way to acknowledge those extra successful anglers. It was nice to see the variety of guests - just guys, couples, multi-generational family groups. We'll be back for sure.

First fishing trip
Welcoming, Caring, Enthusiastic, Service, there are so many words that can be used to describe the Aikens Experience. I cannot say enough to adequately describe it all. The arrival is the first experience. Pit, Julie, Pat, Janelle are all on the dock to welcome the guest off the float plane and into the Aikens Lake World and get you ready for some quick fishing including licenses, setting up your gear, setting up your boat with or without guide as you prefer. Dinner will be served about 6:00 pm, and oh what cuisine! Your accommodations are outstanding, mostly very new or completely remodeled log homes, thoughtfully appointed for your complete comfort. The Lodge and Bar provides relaxation and fun activities after your day of fishing. The fishing experience is a whole special world. Outstanding Guides, Trophy Fish, (I have 15 so far), and all the backup gear you might need from the Bait and Tackle Shop. Fishing Paradise
This is my 4th trip up to Aikens Lake Lodge and the experience has never disappointed me. Pit, Julie, and all of the staff make you feel welcome and at home from the moment the float plane lands at their dock. The fishing is great and our group has never come off the water at the end of a day feeling like we didn't catch our fair share. Yes, some days are better than others, but that's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching"! The shore lunches prepared by the guides are guaranteed and always delicious and only add to the fishing experience. The guides we have fished with over the last four years have been very professional and knowledgeable which also lends to making the on-the-water time enjoyable and productive. For those that want to extend their fishing day, boats are available for guest use after dinner, as well. On shore, the cabins and facilities are really great and more than meet our needs. For those people like myself, that need to stay in touch with work even when away for a few days, the area has very good wi-fi service around the lodge and cabins and two computers in the main lodge for guest use. The food this year was particularly good and this was an opinion shared by all those (7 of us) in our group this year. Michael, their new chef does an amazing job with the dinners. Breakfasts at the lodge are always good too and the staff is more than happy to accommodate your needs or special requests off the menu.
